You’re wearing the training shirt with Higuaín’s number 20 and I imagine that you’d like to spend at least 20 more years in the club. What goals have you set yourself for the future?
I’d love that to be the case and to spend 20 more years with the club. ‘El Pipa’ gave me the shirt for this interview and it would be a dream come true and a real joy to end my career in the club I had the privilege of starting out in when I was only nine. My contract is until I’m 36 and my dream is to retire when I’m 39. I’m also aware that it’s more and more difficult, they demand more from you. You always have to set the bar higher and now people don’t allow you to lower your standards. It’s an added responsibility for me.

The man who is a living legend in this country. He has won it all. He has defended these colors to the death. He is not only an example as a football player but as a person. I have been blessed to have spent seven years with him and the only thing I can say is that I keep learning from you Iker. I love you and you deserve this. Number one … IKER CASILLAS.
